About The Position

We are seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead our culinary program in Charleston, SC. This role calls for a chef with both creative vision and operational excellence—someone who can inspire a team, elevate flavors, and uphold the highest standards of consistency and execution. You will guide a passionate back‑of‑house team, oversee daily operations, and cultivate a kitchen culture where craftsmanship, collaboration, and innovation thrive. The Homegrown Hospitality Group includes 9 unique concepts and 15+ locations across Charleston, Columbia, and Myrtle Beach. Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional kitchen experience with significant leadership responsibilities
  • Proven culinary expertise across multiple cuisines
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team‑building skills
  • Experience with menu development, cost control, and inventory management
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Culinary degree or diploma preferred
  • Fine dining experience strongly preferred
  • Extensive wine knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all back‑of‑house operations, working closely with the Sous Chef to ensure exceptional food quality and consistency
  • Develop daily specials and communicate specifications clearly to both BOH and FOH teams
  • Uphold all plating, recipe, and presentation standards
  • Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and BOH scheduling
  • Demonstrate mastery of all line stations and expo
  • Maintain strict adherence to DHEC standards, including labeling, cleanliness, and proper food storage
  • Receive deliveries, address discrepancies, and communicate with vendors and the General Manager
  • Foster a positive, collaborative kitchen culture and participate in staff meetings
