About The Position

To support our continued growth, we are seeking a strategic Production Executive Chef to join our Bon Appétit team. The Production Executive Chef holds total ownership of the production facility lifecycle, serving as the primary architect of quality, innovation, and industrial-scale operational integrity. In this role, you are responsible for the holistic management of high-volume daily operations and complex administrative functions. This includes financial oversight, facility management, health protocols, and safety compliance. Collaborating closely with the Campus Executive Chef and key cross-functional stakeholders, you will leverage your expertise to uphold rigorous food standards, optimize production schedules, and exceed Food program expectations. Requirements

  • Culinary Leadership: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or equivalent leadership role in a high-volume culinary environment.
  • Production Experience: Proven experience in culinary production management or commercial kitchen operations.
  • Safety Leadership: Demonstrated ability to drive and enhance a robust culture focused on Food and Workplace Safety at scale.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in computer and technical skills, including a working knowledge of Google Suite tools (Sheets, Docs, Slides).

Nice To Haves

  • Education: Degree from an accredited culinary institution is preferred; or equivalent work experience in place of culinary degree.
  • Certifications: ServSafe Manager Certification is preferred.
  • Union Management: Experience managing in a Union Environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Production Safety & Compliance: Rigorously manage workplace and food safety standards across the facility, including meticulous allergen management and the enforcement of all local and corporate health regulations.
  • Architect High-Volume Operations: Manage the comprehensive high-volume production schedule and facility logistics to ensure a seamless flow of products to diverse service points.
  • Drive Culinary Excellence: Model an unyielding passion for food quality, preparation, and taste, ensuring that large-scale production maintains the integrity of a premium dining experience.
  • Ensure Operational Rigor: Oversee and enforce strict adherence to all menuing, production, and preparation expectations; maintain total accountability through the diligent use of opening/closing checklists and responsibility guides.
  • Cultivate Team Synergy: Establish and maintain an expectation of teamwork that is friendly, engaging, and highly professional, fostering a culture of mutual respect and efficiency.
  • Develop Culinary Talent: Lead the training and professional development of production team members; ensure employee reviews, coaching sessions, and development actions are delivered with professionalism and timely precision.
  • Manage Administrative Excellence: Oversee all timelines including payroll, accounts receivable, HR documentation, and service reports to ensure seamless integration with the partner.
  • Master Sustainable Stewardship: Ensure that all products and ingredients are purchased in strict alignment with sector standards, Food Program purchasing guidelines, and our global sustainability commitments.
  • Direct Human Resources Compliance: Ensure all hiring and training standards are met and meticulously documented, from onboarding to safety and technical certifications.
