About The Position

A rare and enviable opportunity exists for a highly accomplished professional to direct all aspects of the daily kitchen food production and support special functions and outside catering events. The selected candidate is part of the community's management team and will have significant responsibility for ensuring a high quality food product and welcoming atmosphere and presentation experience for Residents and guests.

Requirements

  • minimum 10 years of progressive experience in quality Food & Beverage operations management in a high-end restaurant, club, hotel, or senior living company with working knowledge of budgets, reporting, training and staff management skills
  • Previous oversight of multiple Food & Beverage venues is preferred
  • Prior experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Culinary Arts Degree is preferred
  • Current state health and sanitation certification is required
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) designation is a plus
  • Ability to become CDM and Certified Executive Chef (CEC) is preferred
  • Must possess a valid and current driver's license, where applicable
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required or must be willing and able to become CPR and First Aid certified
  • Ability to supervise, hire, train and motivate staff
  • Knowledge of basic nutrition and healthy cooking techniques
  • A strong systems orientation with Microsoft office skills and experience with a Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Effective communication and team-building skills
  • High school diploma or GED required, Culinary arts degree preferred
  • Current state health and sanitation certification
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and Certified Executive Chef (CEC) is a plus or ability to become is preferred
  • Valid driver's license where applicable
