About The Position

The Executive Chef manages and supervises the culinary service staff in several on-site restaurants including fine dining, quick service, catering, and healthcare dining rooms. We are currently seeking a qualified Executive Chef to support our culinary team. Applicants should be a team player, solution oriented with a positive attitude. Food experience in high volume environments such as a hospital, nursing care facility, or school is preferred.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years’ experience of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training in the following settings
  • Hands-on chef experience a must
  • High volume, multi- venue complex foodservice operations
  • Healthcare, Institutional and batch cooking.
  • High End Catering Experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Valid ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification or equivalent, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point) and the Internet
  • Strong Organization and Time Management Skills
  • High Degree of Professionalism is a Must

Nice To Haves

  • American Culinary Federation Certification preferred
  • Food experience in high volume environments such as a hospital, nursing care facility, or school is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises kitchen and culinary staff
  • Ensures compliance of health department regulations
  • Maintaining high sanitation and safety standards
  • Works closely together with front of the house staff to exceed food and service expectations
  • Hiring, Coaching, Scheduling and Training culinary staff
