About The Position

The Executive Chef will lead culinary operations in all areas insuring on trend, efficient, safe and sanitary food production for a 687-bed hospital with 5 retail cafes and 1 coffee shop on-site. You will be responsible for menu development, inventory, purchasing, food cost controls and staff management and development. Additionally, as part of the culinary team, you will be responsible for the following:

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Three to five years of culinary management experience
  • High volume production and catering experience is essential
  • Preferred backgrounds include healthcare, college/university, country club or full-service restaurants
  • ServSafe® Certification
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Email and the Internet)
  • Ability to communicate on various levels including management, departmental, customer and associate
  • Desire to learn and grow with a top notch foodservice company

Responsibilities

  • Trains, develops and provides inspirational leadership to 26-member local culinary team
  • Manages cost controls and controls expenditures for the account
  • Plans and creates all menus
  • Purchases and manages inventory
  • Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary team
