About The Position

As an Executive Chef at CCL Hospitality Group, you will be an inspirational and organized leader responsible for overseeing all culinary functions for a dining account. This role involves managing daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, and food preparation. You will showcase your culinary talents through the delivery of high-quality food while developing and empowering the onsite staff. Your focus will be on improving resident, employee, and client satisfaction while maximizing financial performance in all areas of responsibility. You will ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols and lead culinary production to meet company objectives.

Requirements

  • A.S. or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
  • Extensive catering experience is a plus.
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on chef experience is a must.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends.
  • Must be experienced with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of culinary management experience.
  • Previous experience managing cost controls.
  • Desire to learn and grow with a top-notch foodservice company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily culinary production in preparation and production of meals, ensuring food quality and presentation.
  • Determine food presentation and create decorative food displays.
  • Provide direction on menu development based on product availability and create distinctive specials.
  • Monitor freshness of produce and meat, maintaining product consistency.
  • Prepare and cook foods for regular and special guests or functions.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of business strategies.
  • Manage department controllable expenses including food cost and supplies.
  • Develop and implement guidelines for purchasing and receiving areas.
  • Analyze financial and operational information to adjust business plans.
  • Create 100% resident satisfaction by providing training and resources to team members.
  • Establish performance goals and solicit employee feedback.
  • Communicate performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback.
