About The Position

The Executive Chef at Bon Appetit is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment, and preparing meals in line with corporate guidelines. Requirements

• A.S. degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Extensive catering experience is a plus.
• Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations is highly desirable.
• Hands-on chef experience is a must.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, production, sanitation, and food cost controls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and the Internet.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in institutional and batch cooking.
• Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations and maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Prepare or direct the preparation of meals according to corporate programs and guidelines.
• Plan regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
• Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and sanitation standards.
• Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies to ensure availability while adhering to guidelines.
• Make decisions regarding the utilization of leftover food products according to company guidelines.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Participate in departmental meetings and professional development programs.
