About The Position

The Executive Chef at Rebelle Restaurant in the St. Anthony Hotel is responsible for leading the culinary department, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and creating exceptional dining experiences. This role involves managing menu development, mentoring kitchen staff, and maintaining operational excellence in a luxury hotel setting.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' progressive culinary experience in a fast-paced, multi-faceted operation.
• Previous leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen.
• Demonstrated ability to develop menu items that meet diverse audience tastes.
• Curiosity regarding food trends and ability to assess trends for guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the culinary department, including menu concepting and design.
• Ensure quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling/storage of food items.
• Interview, hire, train, and evaluate culinary associates.
• Establish daily priorities and assign production and preparation tasks.
• Ensure each kitchen area is stocked with necessary tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Review banquet event orders and requisition supplies.
• Monitor the performance of associates to maintain high standards.
• Conduct frequent walk-throughs of each kitchen area to coach associates.
• Assist the Catering department in developing special menus for functions.
• Oversee the training of new hires and maintain ongoing training programs.
