About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 3 at St Mary’s College in Moraga, California. This culinary role will oversee all culinary operations on campus, which include resident dining, The 1928 Pub, catering and concessions for all sports. The EC3 will focus on the continued growth of the campus dining account. We are seeking a strong culinary leader with a proven commitment to high-volume dining through excellence, teamwork, and collaboration. Our ideal candidate will be innovative, keeping services fresh and updated based on current trends. Requirements

a strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends
excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards
strong coaching and employee development skills
have a passion for food and innovation.
Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
