About The Position

Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking an experienced Executive Chef 2 to lead culinary operations at the Fannie Mae Midtown Center , a premier, high-profile corporate account located in the heart of Washington, DC. This is a dynamic and diverse culinary environment featuring: A Main Café Starbucks Pizza, Soup & C‑Store Café High‑End Catering Operations supporting executive‑level clients This role offers an ideal blend of retail culinary leadership and upscale catering , allowing you to flex both operational excellence and culinary creativity. As the lead chef for this unit , the Executive Chef 2 is responsible for culinary vision, execution, and team leadership across all foodservice operations. You will play a critical role in driving food quality, innovation, and presentation—while maintaining strong financial and operational controls. Catering is a key focus of this position, supporting C‑suite executives and Board of Directors meetings . Catering services include high-end plated lunches, executive meetings, and VIP events. The Executive Chef will collaborate closely with the Catering Chef to ensure flawless execution, elevated presentation, and memorable experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all retail culinary operations
  • Drive menu planning, innovation, and seasonal offerings
  • Manage ordering, inventory, and food/labor costs
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a team of approximately 15 hourly union employees
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and brand standards
  • Leverage technology including mobile ordering systems and digital HACCP
  • Partner cross-functionally to deliver consistent, high-quality dining experiences
