Sodexo powered by &friends is seeking an Executive Chef for Providence Academy, a private K-12 school in Johnson City, TN You will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of the &friends brand and bringing its vision to life. Requirements

• a strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends
• excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards
• strong coaching and employee development skills
• a passion for food and innovation
• Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience - 2 yearsMinimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Nice To Haves

• previous experience in a K-12 environment is preferred

Responsibilities

• be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production
• oversee the PrimeroEdge food management system
• menu development
• ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented and maintained
• oversee catering functions
• have the ability and willingness to motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly-paid staff)
• provide stellar customer/client service
• ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
• have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
