About This Internship Arch's 10-week summer internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry. It provides challenging learning experiences that serve as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills. Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field, participate in learning activities and receive ongoing feedback. About This Role Support the underwriting and pricing of new business under the guidance and mentorship of experienced underwriters.

Requirements

  • Actively completing area of study in Risk Management & Insurance, Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related program.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • College level - Junior or Senior student with graduation dates between December 2026 and May 2027.
  • Strong proficiency in understanding financial statements.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Strong analytical skillset, with a keen ability to think through issues
  • Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
  • Team player who collaborates effectively.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Gain exposure to coverage areas which may include Directors and Officers Insurance, Employment Practices Liability Insurance, Fiduciary Liability, Crime, Kidnap and Ransom, and Cyber Insurance.
  • Complete financial and exposure analysis across the portfolio.
  • Participate in division-specific underwriting previews of accounts.
  • Contribute to benchmarking projects and other Ad Hoc projects as deemed appropriate.
  • Assist in initiatives such as Digital Submission projects and File Audit Compliance.
  • Complete claims review.
  • Represent Arch and Executive Assurance professionally whether internally or externally at industry events.
