About The Position

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Executive Assistant opportunity in Richland, WA to support Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) at the Hanford Site. The role involves providing administrative assistance to the senior leadership team of HMIS, including the President and Vice Presidents. The Executive Assistant will perform a variety of highly-complex secretarial and administrative functions in support of management and staff, ensuring that crucial aspects of assigned deliverables are completed effectively. The position requires extensive knowledge of departmental and company policies, the ability to exercise personal judgment, and the management of multiple tasks and responsibilities with competing deadlines. The Executive Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing travel arrangements, and improving office operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years administrative and/or office support experience.
  • Ability to maintain strict professional confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail in a technical and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to evaluate and prioritize work activities.
  • Experience providing complex office administrative support.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting a Vice President or President of a large organization.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, IDMS, Crystal Reports, Access, and/or Visio.
  • Prior Hanford site experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to senior leadership team.
  • Perform complex secretarial and administrative functions.
  • Complete assigned deliverables with a hands-on approach.
  • Prioritize conflicting needs and handle matters expeditiously.
  • Manage multiple tasks and responsibilities with competing deadlines.
  • Screen and prioritize communications from external and internal sources.
  • Prepare and issue quality correspondence, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical.
  • Update and maintain information in databases and department records.
  • Maintain calendars and schedule meetings.
  • Prepare travel and training requests and make travel arrangements.
  • Track completion of employee requirements and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Order and maintain supplies for the department.
