The Executive Assistant for the Office of the EVP and Dean of Georgetown University Law Center (the “EA”) provides high-level administrative support to the Office of the Executive Vice President and Dean of Georgetown Law (“the Dean’s Office) at Georgetown University Law Center, located on the Georgetown University Capitol Campus. The EA is a self-directed team player who takes initiative, anticipates needs, ensures consistent high quality products and materials, and adapts to different situations. This critical role requires a proactive and self-directed professional who anticipates needs, demonstrates excellent judgment, and ensures the seamless management of complex priorities. As a primary receptionist for the Dean’s Office, the position serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing a professional and welcoming experience while managing a high volume of incoming communications. Key responsibilities include greeting guests, answering and directing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining front office organization and security. The EA works collaboratively with other Dean’s Office staff to ensure the front office is appropriately staffed and provides consistent in-person coverage during business hours, while also supporting administrative functions such as handling correspondence, coordinating information flow, and assisting staff as needed.
