About The Position

Laborde Products is an innovative family-owned company with offices in Covington, LA and Houston, TX. We provide heavy-duty engines, equipment, service, and support for our customers in the Marine and Industrial/Oilfield markets. We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Executive Assistant to join our growing team! You will be responsible for optimizing the time and efforts of the President by tracking and communicating the progress of projects, initiatives, and tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years of administrative experience with at least 2 years supporting an executive or senior level manager.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • High energy with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Willing to face complex issues head on and work through challenges to build a stronger organization.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a team with diverse personalities.
  • Tactful and mature.
  • Confident and able to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the President’s communication, including taking calls, responding to emails, and interfacing with customers.
  • Manage the calendar and all appointments for the President.
  • Ensure that the President is prepared and appropriate preparations are in place for all meetings and events.
  • Respond to requests for meetings and meeting modifications, as necessary.
  • Coordinate and schedule all travel for the President and other members of the Executive Team as needed.
  • Screen and direct phone calls to the President and Executive Team as needed.
  • Accept and address incoming correspondence for the President while out of the office or traveling.
  • Assist in the management of the President’s email inbox and follow up on email action items as necessary.
  • Maintain organized filing system for all electronic files for the President.
  • Maintain expenses and complete monthly expense reports.
  • Participate in meetings and events, take notes, and communicate initiatives and deadlines after the meeting.
  • Ensure that the office and meeting rooms are always organized, clean, and presentable for our team members, customers, and guests.
  • May perform other duties as required by business needs.
