About The Position

Performs administrative related duties. Assists with department responsibilities. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas: Demonstrates the ability to order supplies; completes and authorizes requisitions. Demonstrates the ability to compile and organize data for annual department budget. Demonstrates the ability to monitor and reconcile expenditures of budgeted funds. Demonstrated the ability to accurately make daily deposits. Sends temperature log to Infection Control. Accurately send EOBs to appropriate facility. Accurately run monthly reports including but not limited to expense reports, board stats, dental and vision withholdings. Accurately run contract labor reports quarterly. Handle unclaimed property. Able to put together data from different sources for special projects; prepares reports. Maintains procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow. Demonstrates the ability to perform secretarial duties, i.e., typing, dictation, correspondence, preparing reports, contracts, memos. Prepares materials for Board of Directors meetings; prepares and distributes minutes from meeting. Maintains department staff records; records are kept confidential. Gathers information for insurance policies; requests changes as necessary. Answers the telephone in a professional manner; directs calls appropriately. Maintains department records, files, policy and procedure manual. Coordinates appointments, travel accommodations, and expenses for physician recruitment. Processes invoices for payment. Coordinates travel accommodations for education/conferences. Communicates appropriately and clearly to the administration, co-workers. Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments. Is a resource person both with the administration as well as management of other departments. Demonstrates the ability to schedule meetings between departments, managers, and outside parties. Demonstrates the ability to be flexible and organized. Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly. Performs other duties as assigned. Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Adheres to dress code; appearance is neat and professional.
  • Completes annual educational requirements.
  • Maintains regulatory requirements.
  • Wears identification while on duty
  • Attends annual review.
  • Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work in designated time.
  • Attends committee, performance improvement and continuous quality improvement meetings as appropriate.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • One to two (1-2) years of experience preferred.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to use all office equipment.
  • Able to type 60 words per minute, accurately. Able to take dictation.
  • Normal/corrected eyesight.
  • Hearing within normal range.
  • Continuous sitting.
  • Frequent walking.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds.
