About The Position

Amyx, Inc. is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support a senior executive at a Federal agency in the Washington, DC area. This role requires a highly organized, proactive professional who can anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and bring exceptional judgment and discretion to a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate is relationship‑driven, detail‑oriented, and adept at navigating senior‑level communications and operations within a large Federal organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years serving as an EA to a senior executive (C-suite, SES, Flag officer, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated excellence in proactive calendar/priority management.
  • Experience interacting with senior government officials.
  • High proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft 365, to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills and discretion.
  • Ability to work well with professional staff, take initiative, and work independently.
  • Ability to cope with frequent changes in priorities, as well as interruptions throughout the day.
  • Candidates without an active clearance may be considered based on experience and eligibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Q clearance (Top Secret equivalent)
  • Federal experience supporting an executive in a technical organization.
  • Knowledge of Federal travel regulations and proficient in creating local, domestic, and overseas travel arrangements and creating travel vouchers upon travel completion.
  • Experience with Concur travel management system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including proactive calendar, task, and priority management for a senior executive.
  • Serve as a discreet and trusted gatekeeper, triaging requests, managing communication flow, and tailoring messaging for senior leadership audiences.
  • Build productive, collaborative relationships across the organization with a composed, supportive, and professional demeanor.
  • Maintain continuous situational awareness of key events, deadlines, meetings, long-term schedules, and operational commitments.
  • Prepare, review, and format documents, briefings, and correspondence in alignment with office and agency standards.
  • Establish and maintain office files, records, and electronic data systems consistent with Federal Records Management requirements.
  • Manage travel requirements end-to-end, including booking arrangements, preparing travel orders, processing passports/visas, and ensuring compliance with agency travel regulations.
  • Maintain an executive preferences profile for travel, communication, and recurring operational tasks.
  • Coordinate official visits and engagements, including preparing conference rooms and setting up video teleconferences (VTC).
  • Follow established administrative procedures, including attending weekly calendar syncs and maintaining up-to-date contact lists and schedules.
  • Occasional after‑hours availability via telework is required to support executive needs, schedule changes, and urgent mission priorities.
