Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Four years of increasingly responsible full-time administrative assistant/secretarial experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Experience supporting C-level executives.

Responsibilities

  • Provides sophisticated calendar management for the President.
  • Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks to facilitate the President's ability to lead the organization.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the President.
  • Researches and prioritizes inquiries before determining the appropriate course of action.
  • Communicates directly on behalf of the President and responds to communications outside normal business hours.
  • Functions as a liaison and provides support to the Board of Trustees.
  • Arranges and oversees logistics for Board meetings and events.
  • Works closely with the President and First Lady to keep them informed of commitments and responsibilities.
  • Coordinates all Vice President meetings and retreats.
  • Completes projects by assigning work to appropriate staff on behalf of the President.
  • Maintains discretion and confidentiality in relationships with all Board members.
  • Arranges special events and functions involving food service and room bookings.
  • Welcomes guests in a professional manner and directs inquiries appropriately.
  • Maintains the President's Operating Budget and prepares expense reports.
