About The Position

The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition is seeking a creative, energetic, and detail-oriented professional to serve as the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO. This individual will coordinate and execute a wide range of tasks and projects for the executive office. The position requires a candidate who is versatile, tactful, deadline-driven, motivated, and organized. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy, and collaborative environment. The position will reside in Washington, D.C., and report to the President & CEO. Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience supporting a principal is preferred.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized with an ability to juggle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to President/CEO by strategically managing her schedule for internal and external meetings and appointments to maximize the office and platform for the organization's mission.
  • Provide guidance and manage requests from the organization's senior staff seeking the CEO's time to use it in the most efficient, impactful manner.
  • Oversee and manage the CEO's USGLC email account.
  • Lead bi-monthly meetings with members of senior staff on internal and external speaking engagements to determine where to leverage the CEO's voice and brand.
  • Stay ahead of all organization events and the CEO's meetings and appointments to quickly respond and adjust to changes in the CEO's schedule.
  • Support the CEO with background research, briefing memos, talking points, and preparing presentations, including PowerPoints.
  • Contact and follow-up with offices to schedule and confirm USGLC appointments.
  • Ensure that the CEO has background materials in advance of meetings.
  • Provide any necessary follow-up materials after appointments.
  • Handle CEO's travel arrangements and prepare logistics memos for all trips.
  • Assist the USGLC Executive Team, primarily the Chief of Staff and Chief Financial Officer, with various projects to maximize the effectiveness of USGLC executive responsibilities.
  • Support USGLC Executive Team with the management of the USGLC Board of Directors, including meetings, communications, and governance, as needed.
  • Support USGLC Executive Team in internal and external meetings, including drafting meeting notes, agendas and preparing follow-up materials, including thank-you notes, as necessary.
  • Assist USGLC Executive Team with special projects, including strategic planning sessions.
  • Manage day-to-day office management tasks such as general office supplies, conference rooms, mail, general building operations, and other duties as needed.
