About The Position

GDI delivers mission-critical applications for top-tier enterprises around the world for the US and Canadian Federal Governments. Our cloud offers unmatched hyper-scale; multi-tenant services deployed in more than 50 regions worldwide. GDI is expanding its mission beyond the traditional boundaries of public cloud to include dedicated, hybrid and multi-cloud, edge computing, and more. GDI's mission is to support customer choice, transparency, and value when it comes to cloud infrastructure. We're embarking on ambitious new initiatives such as building innovative platforms, high-performance primitives, frameworks to support GDI developers, and a new container runtime that will allow us to run the full variety of GDI services, including our most demanding, high-performance, high-availability offerings. We're also driving new initiatives such as providing canonical implementations of core components for data planes through a data plane runtime framework, developing a remote persistent storage solution with latency and performance comparable to that of a local NVMe drive, and developing standards and tools to identify critical performance improvements across GDI data planes. Our goal is to enhance engineering efficiency by concentrating our expertise on building low-level systems with high performance that can be adopted by our core cloud services across GDI. We are growing quickly, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives. Requirements

  • 5+ years executive and/or office management experience required.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Calendar management is necessary.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet applications.
  • Proficient in desktop applications such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, messaging tools, etc.
  • Willingness and ability to get a US Government issued security clearance, if needed.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative/clerical support to a function, group, or customer base.
  • Support GDI executive levels up to EVP.
  • Spend more than 90% of time providing administrative support to relieve managers and staff of administrative and clerical details.
  • Handle details of a highly confidential and critical nature.
  • Collect and prepare sensitive information for use in discussions and meetings with the organization's staff and external individuals.
  • Analyze problems, determine approach, compile, and analyze data in the preparation of reports and/or recommendations.
  • Contact company personnel at all organizational levels to gather information and prepare reports.
  • Participate in operational task forces.
  • Spend time on special projects which may include training new hires on policies and procedures, project coordination and logistics, documentation and collateral coordination, liaison to Human Resources, and creation of Senior Administrative Assistant administration manuals.
