About The Position

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant for the CEO who will play a critical role in enabling his effectiveness and advancing the strategic priorities of the company. As Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will serve as a trusted partner, organizational force multiplier, and operational anchor. You will work closely with the CEO and the Chief of Staff to ensure seamless execution of priorities, efficient management of the CEO’s time, and smooth coordination across the executive office. This is a fast-paced, highly visible role requiring impeccable judgment, a forward-thinking mindset, strong technical fluency, and the ability to confidently engage across a complex, global organization. You are polished, proactive, AI-savvy, and thrive in a culture of constant innovation and evolution. Five days a week in our midtown Manhattan office is required, as is up to 40% domestic and international travel.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience supporting high-level leaders including at least 5 years supporting C-suite executives in a fast-paced, global organization; experience supporting a CEO strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing complex, rapidly shifting priorities and maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Strong digital fluency, including comfort with AI tools, workflow automation, and modern productivity platforms.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare executive-ready materials.
  • High emotional intelligence, strong judgment, impeccable discretion, and ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally.
  • Ability and willingness to work in our midtown Manhattan office 5 days a week.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary gatekeeper for the CEO, managing schedule, communications, and workflow with professionalism and discretion.
  • Lead complex, dynamic calendar management across global time zones, anticipating conflicts and ensuring readiness for all meetings and engagements.
  • Coordinate sophisticated domestic and international travel, including itineraries, logistics, visas, accommodations, and on-the-ground support.
  • Prepare, review, and refine executive-level materials including briefings, decks, talking points, memos, and reports.
  • Accompany the CEO on travel up to 40% of the time to ensure seamless logistics, real-time issue resolution, and situational support.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief of Staff to align CEO focus areas, priorities, and follow-through.
  • Support execution of key initiatives by tracking action items, deadlines, commitments, and next steps across the executive office.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, board members, external partners, and global Dow Jones teams.
  • Maintain situational awareness of organizational priorities to help the CEO operate efficiently and anticipate needs.
  • Leverage digital tools, automation, AI platforms, and workflow optimization solutions to enhance executive productivity.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to modernize processes, streamline operations, and elevate the efficiency of the Office of the CEO.
  • Champion best practices in communication, collaboration, and digital efficiency.
  • Draft, edit, and manage high-quality communications on behalf of the CEO for his review and delivery.
  • Represent the CEO and executive office with professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural intelligence across internal and external interactions.
  • Serve as a connector and liaison between the CEO and teams across the global Dow Jones organization.
