Reports To: ROS Administration Manager/Deputy Chief of Staff, ROS Function: Research & Development Position Overview The Executive Business Partner to the R&D organization will serve as a strategic and operational partner to the Head of R&D, ensuring the seamless execution of R&D initiatives across our global based organization. This role bridges strategic alignment, operational excellence, and administrative execution, enabling the Head of R&D and R&D leadership team to focus on innovation, portfolio advancement, and external influence. The Executive Business Partner will play a critical role in supporting the unique operating model of R&D, including maintaining oversight of our cell structure, driving coordination across scientific and technical teams, and ensuring that governance, reporting, and communications are consistently executed at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of professional experience, ideally in business operations, program management, or executive support roles.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear narratives.
  • Experience working in a highly technical or scientific environment; comfort with medtech, healthcare, or biotech preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across functions and cultures.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Head of R&D and leadership to drive execution of R&D strategy and ensure alignment with enterprise priorities.
  • Support governance of the R&D cell strategy, including documentation, cadence management, and performance tracking.
  • Develop, implement, and refine frameworks that ensure accountability and transparency across R&D projects and global sites.
  • Facilitate coordination between R&D and cross-functional teams (Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Regulatory, etc.).
  • Manage daily and weekly operating rhythms, including leadership meetings, offsites, and business reviews.
  • Ensure timely preparation of materials for the Head of R&D (briefings, reports, executive summaries, external presentations).
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks within the organization by escalating issues, tracking decisions, and ensuring follow-up.
  • Oversee calendar management for the Head of R&D, ensuring priorities are reflected and conflicts minimized.
  • Manage email flow for the Head of R&D, including drafting responses, triaging incoming requests, and maintaining inbox organization.
  • Coordinate complex travel arrangements for the Head of R&D, including itineraries, accommodations, and on-site logistics.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and site visits, ensuring agendas and outcomes are well defined.
  • Draft and edit communications on behalf of the Head of R&D, including leadership updates, town halls, and external conference materials.
  • Reinforce a culture of trust, collaboration, and accountability within the R&D organization.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to track engagement, address feedback, and implement programs that strengthen global connectivity.
