The Lyric Opera of Chicago is seeking an Executive Assistant (EA) to provide comprehensive support to the General Director, President & CEO, the Music Director, and other members of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the executive offices, requiring a high level of professionalism and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The EA will be responsible for maintaining the daily schedules and agendas of the General Director and Music Director, coordinating meetings with senior staff and Board members, and planning both domestic and international travel as necessary. The position also involves liaising with various arts and civic organizations, maintaining relationships with internal and external VIPs, and coordinating artist participation in special events. In this role, the EA will demonstrate leadership aligned with Lyric's mission and vision, providing executive-level support while managing a dynamic calendar of appointments. Responsibilities include composing confidential correspondence, compiling documents for travel-related meetings, and tracking expense reports. The EA will assist in organizing committee meetings and special functions, including opening night performances and lectures. Additionally, the EA will support the Music Director by managing travel schedules and administering rehearsal calendars, ensuring all activities are prioritized and handled with discretion and tact.
