About The Position

This opportunity is for a seasoned Executive Assistant looking for a visible and mission-critical role within Amazon’s Stores Security (StoresSec) organization. The Executive Assistant (EA) will partner closely with senior leadership within the Defensive Security (DefSec) team, providing onsite support for its Director at Amazon’s Seattle Headquarters. The role requires a strategic partner who can proactively anticipate problems, create contingency plans, and take effective action with urgency. As an Amazon EA, you will work in a team environment, building relationships and partnering with leaders at all levels. It is a dynamic and multi-faceted role involving high-visibility projects, requiring strong integrity, discretion with confidential information, professionalism, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, capable of delivering results across multiple objectives simultaneously, often under ambiguous circumstances and competing deadlines. A calm demeanor and sense of humor are also critical. This role requires five (5) days a week in office. The Defensive Security team operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, dealing with security issues, requiring high confidentiality, and moving quickly to protect Amazon customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of senior level leadership support, or 3+ years of Amazon experience
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
  • US citizenship or permanent residency required

Responsibilities

  • Complex executive calendar management with detailed scheduling across multiple high-level calendars
  • Exec preparation, including detailed coordination of reading materials and background information to ensure executive readiness for daily events
  • Coordination and planning of domestic and international travel, including organizing trip agendas and local logistics
  • Completing expense reports, purchase orders, and managing corporate card purchases; participation in budget planning and tracking as needed
  • Planning and coordinating team activities and events
  • Serving as liaison between leadership and team members across multiple geographic regions
  • Managing other core administrative activities (space planning, new-hire on-boarding, organizational charts, supply ordering)
