About The Position

20th Television is one of the industry's most prolific suppliers of primetime television programming and entertainment content. The studio’s content now reaches more than a billion people every day across the world; in as many as 180 countries, across six continents, in 30 different languages. 20th Television is looking for an assistant to executives in the Development department. This is a high volume, fast-paced desk, so the perfect candidate will: have superior organizational and communication skills; is highly motivated and detail-oriented; and can remain calm under pressure. Job responsibilities include standard assistant duties, team coordinating, and script coverage. A day in the life… Assist with various administrative tasks including scheduling meetings, rolling calls, and processing expense reports. Update grids with staff lists and production calendars. Create clip selections from dailies for internal viewing. Track incoming material and staffing submissions. Collect information for timely internal memos. Be familiar with all internal department points of contact, as well as their counterparts at the Network or Streamer. Take notes on meetings and calls. Watch cuts and read incoming scripts to write loglines and share notes.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to multitask and work independently with little direction and follow up, in a team environment, with changing priorities
  • Literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Critical thinking & problem-solving skills
  • Minimum of 1-year administrative assistant experience
  • Able to present information in a confident, well-articulated, creative and engaging manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience interning at a studio, network, or agency
  • Relevant coursework in film/television
  • Passion for learning and eagerness to be a team player
