About The Position

The Executive Area Business Specialist for Immunology at Johnson & Johnson is responsible for ensuring patient access to pharmaceutical products within the Washington, DC territory. This role involves educating healthcare providers on efficient practices for administering treatments, training clinical staff, and managing relationships with infusion clinics. The specialist will also collaborate with sales teams to promote products and assist in navigating reimbursement processes, all while adhering to company strategies and compliance regulations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • A valid driver's license issued in one of the fifty United States.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Reside in the geography or willing to relocate to it.
  • A minimum of three years of successful pharmaceutical, biologic/biotech, or medical device sales experience, with at least one year in specialty sales.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of reimbursement, payer, provider, and infusion operations.
  • Experience selling an injectable/infused product.
  • Knowledge of the immunology, rheumatology, and/or gastroenterology fields.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure appropriate identified new and existing patients have access to pharmaceutical products.
  • Educate practices on efficiency practices for infusing pharmaceutical products.
  • Update practices on key payer changes impacting infusion processes.
  • Train staff in infusion clinics using company-approved materials.
  • Educate providers on available patient assistance programs.
  • Execute the company's brand strategy within the assigned customer segment.
  • Approach customers from a total account management perspective.
  • Assist sales force in product promotion, access, pull-through, and reimbursement.
  • Mentor doctors and staff on developing and implementing In-Office Infusion programs.
  • Train clinical staff on technical aspects of infusing pharmaceutical products.
  • Serve as a resource regarding payer policies and reimbursement regulations.
