About The Position

Leidos is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Indirect Fires and Force Protection (IFFP) Business Area within the Defense Systems Sector . This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment and is eager to contribute to the success of a large-scale defense program. This role goes beyond traditional administrative responsibilities and plays a meaningful role in enabling organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and culture-building initiatives. The candidate will perform a broad range of administrative tasks, to include managing scheduling, preparing correspondence, coordinating meeting logistics, preparing expense reports, and coordinating travel. The candidate will partner with HR, Communications, and leadership in planning and coordinating activities that support employee morale, engagement, and connection across the organization (e.g., recognition events, team-building activities, leadership visits, and milestone celebrations). The candidate will assist with new hire onboarding, workspace setup, and training coordination. The candidate will prioritize and carry out special projects and assignments as needed, exercising frequent independent judgment, initiative, and tact. The ideal candidate will lead efforts proactively, plan for and anticipate future questions or issues and provide solutions. At Leidos, we don’t want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, “what’s next?” before the dust settles on “what’s now.” If you’re already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2… good. You’ll fit right in.
