About The Position

In the Executive Account Manager role, you will be a high-impact leader who manages and develops a team of Account Managers while ensuring best-in-class execution across our customer portfolio. This role is less about owning a personal book of business day-to-day and more about coaching, developing, and holding a team accountable to drive service excellence, growth, and operational consistency.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Business, Logistics, or related work experience required
  • Understanding and knowledge of the Transportation and Logistics industry, Understanding and knowledge of DOT regulations and standards
  • 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, and/or distribution preferred
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Strong relationship management and executive communication abilities
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to coach others on consultative problem-solving
  • High energy, results-driven mindset with a focus on accountability
  • Professionalism, dependability, and initiative
  • Ability to balance big-picture strategy with day-to-day team execution

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Account Managers, driving both performance and professional growth
  • Provide ongoing coaching around relationship management, negotiation, and consultative selling
  • Establish clear expectations, KPIs, and accountability across the team
  • Oversee a portfolio of high-value accounts through your team, ensuring strong relationship management and long-term growth
  • Guide Account Managers in identifying and executing upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Support team members in building strategic account plans to maximize profitability
  • Hold the team accountable for execution across shipment management, communication, and issue resolution
  • Step in on escalations and partner cross-functionally to ensure service levels are consistently met
  • Partner with other department managers to deliver seamless logistics solutions
  • Act as a senior point of contact for key accounts when needed, reinforcing executive-level relationships
  • Coach the team to operate as trusted advisors, delivering customized, value-driven logistics solutions
