NP/FNP Opportunity at Fairfax Behavioral Health in Kirkland! At three locations, Fairfax Behavioral Health has been a cornerstone of mental health care in the Greater Seattle/Puget Sound areas since 1930. Our mission is to provide top-quality patient care through comprehensive mental health and co-occurring addiction treatment services for adolescents and adults. Kirkland Campus: 157-bed standalone psychiatric hospital offering a full continuum of care. Everett Campus: 30-bed adult psychiatric facility in Everett at Providence Medical Center's Pacific Campus. Monroe Campus: 34-bed facility located at Evergreen Health in Monroe. Fairfax Behavioral Health offers a complete continuum of acute inpatient, PHP, IOP, Patriot Support Program for Active Duty, Veterans, and First Responders, and Women's-focused programs. With over 94 years of service, we are dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care. We prioritize patient recovery, offering a supportive environment and a comprehensive plan for long-term sobriety and improved mental health.

Requirements

  • NP degree from an accredited and recognized program required.
  • Current Washington APRN license in good standing.
  • 3+ years of prior work experience in a clinical NP/PA role required (clinical rotations and preceptor hours not included).
  • Meet all credentialing criteria required by participating providers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical assessments, initial H&Ps within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and patient discharges.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement integrated treatment plans that address both mental health and medical issues.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings to contribute insights into the patient's medical condition(s), discuss treatment options, and ensure that the overall care plan is comprehensive and cohesive.
  • Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities during their length of stay, alongside Psychiatrists, other mental health providers, and support staff.
  • Provide medical education to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications that may impact overall health.
  • Provide medical consults as needed in the General Adult units, Mission Resiliency Program (military, veterans, etc.), and Detox/SUD units.
