About The Position

Join a high-priority federal program supporting a Microsoft partner delivering mission-critical messaging infrastructure in a secure, classified environment. As an Exchange Specialist, you will support enterprise Microsoft Exchange environments that enable secure communication, operational continuity, and data integrity for national security systems. This role directly supports classified infrastructure operations, requiring precision, reliability, and deep expertise in on-prem Exchange administration. Fathom Management, Inc. is seeking Exchange Specialists (Technician Level III, IV, or V) to support on-premises Microsoft Exchange environments (Exchange 2016 or newer) within a high-security government environment. This position focuses on operations, sustainment, troubleshooting, and system health, ensuring messaging systems remain secure, stable, and highly available. Candidates must have active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) - this requirement is non-negotiable.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) - REQUIRED
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Exchange administration
Strong experience with Exchange 2016 or newer (on-prem)
Experience with: incident troubleshooting and break/fix support monitoring and system health checks routine maintenance and platform sustainment
Experience working in classified or secure environments
Strong understanding of enterprise messaging infrastructure

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (M365) environments
Exposure to cloud-based messaging or hosting platforms
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or government systems

Responsibilities

Administer and support Microsoft Exchange (2016 or newer) in on-premises environments.
Perform routine system maintenance, patching, and sustainment activities.
Ensure high availability and performance of enterprise messaging platforms.
Provide incident management, break/fix support, and root cause analysis.
Troubleshoot issues related to: mail flow mailbox access server performance connectivity and integration
Perform continuous monitoring, system health checks, and performance tuning.
Identify and resolve capacity, performance, and reliability issues proactively.
Ensure adherence to security protocols in classified environments.
Support compliance and audit requirements aligned with federal standards.
Maintain secure configurations and access controls within Exchange environments.
