About The Position

Under limited supervision, the EC Behavior Coach provides coaching support to Exceptional Children teachers and staff in developing effective behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in special education, psychology, or related field
  • Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a special education setting
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral support and classroom management strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching support to teachers and staff on developing effective behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies
  • Model best practices in behavioral support and classroom management
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans
  • Provide training and technical assistance on behavioral support and classroom management strategies
  • Analyze data and provide feedback to teachers and staff on the effectiveness of behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with teachers, staff, and families to promote a collaborative and supportive learning environment
