About The Position

In this role, you will: Operating machinery efficiently and safely as a highly skilled production operator Complying with Thiess’ policies and procedures Responding to instructions from Mining Supervisor Excavating to design boundaries of ore bodies, berms and pit walls Ensuring floor levels are maintained Minimising dilution and achieving design parameters within acceptable tolerances Setting and maintain high housekeeping standards Carrying out pre-start checks

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years mining experience as mining production excavator operator
• Equivalent to or specific experience operating Hitachi EX3600 is essential
• Experience in loading dump trucks in a mining production environment essential
• Sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration
• Skills to mine out benches and cutting batters, leaving minimal amount of material for final trim to design of batter angle
• HR drivers licence (desirable)
• Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
