Day Shift Excavator Operator
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. Operate excavators to safely dig, load, and move materials according to site requirements. Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure reliable operation. Support production by following site plans, signals, and directions accurately. Monitor ground conditions and adjust work to maintain safety and efficiency. Communicate effectively with the team to coordinate tasks and maintain safe operations.
Requirements
- Capability to operate excavators and related heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong situational awareness and commitment to established safety practices.
- Ability to follow instructions, read ground conditions, and complete tasks with precision.
- Effective communication and teamwork in a dynamic work environment.
- Adaptability to outdoor working conditions and varying operational demands.
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
