About The Position

We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. We are currently seeking an individual for the Excavator/Heavy Equipment Operator position at our quarry in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The successful candidate for this position will have experience operating an excavator and other heavy machinery with an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating large dozers, excavators, or similar heavy machinery preferred.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate an excavator with a high degree of competency, skill and proficiency in challenging and unique terrain environments.
  • Run other types of heavy equipment as needed such as front loaders, dozers, haul trucks, etc.
  • Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
  • Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Effective communication skills applicable to position.
  • Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
  • Properly follow all company policies MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
  • Assist with other duties at the discretion of management.
