About The Position

This role performs job site management and coordination of heavy civil construction projects and includes coordinating all efforts to ensure client satisfaction and overall success of a project. Superintendent will supervise job assigned operators and laborers and enforce worker’s compliance with company standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations. Superintendent will interact closely with company owners, clients, and field crews and subcontractors.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience managing and directing field personnel
• Must be willing to travel (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico and Colorado)
• Ability to read and understand plans and specs
• Proficient in operating various equipment, i.e. Back Hoe, Track Hoe, Grader, Dozer, Loader, etc.
• Proficient in setting, transferring and understanding grades
• Proficient in operating GPS controlled equipment including doing own site-layout with GPS Survey System
• Ability to read and write in the English language
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents, contracts, specifications and/or government regulations
• Experience in site grading/heavy construction; including mass excavations, embankments, hauling, backfilling, compaction, soil stabilization, grading and testing, and placement of transported materials.
• MSHA experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as subcontractors.
• Bilingual preferred
• Safety conscious with a proven track record
• Candidate must possess a strong work ethic and demonstrate excellent organizational skills
