We are looking for an experienced Lead Equipment Operator in our Plumbing/Sewer Department who excels in customer service, is a great problem solver, thrives in a challenging environment, is a positive team player, and is self-motivated. Operators must be able to operate sewer department equipment safely and efficiently, including but not limited to mini excavator, skid loader, rubber backhoe, and Georgia Buggy (motor-powered concrete mover).

Requirements

  • Three+ recent years of operating stated equipment in previous employment
  • Experience driving a dump truck have towed equipment for at least 6 months, and have a CDL
  • Understanding plumbing codes, knowledge of and adherence to OSHA guidelines
  • Knowing how to attain permits
  • Knowing how to arrange utility locates
  • Basic construction knowledge
  • Can operate a sewer camera
  • Can calculate square yardage for concrete
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces (e.g., attics, crawl spaces, basements).
  • Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, and bending.
  • Ability to work at heights (e.g., ladders, elevated plat forms).
  • Manual dexterity to handle electrical tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions when performing outdoor installations.
  • Valid Driver’s License (required)
