About The Position
As a Yard Associate at Palmer-Donavin, you will play a crucial role in the efficient handling and processing of engineered wood products (EWP) within our yard operations. This position is designed for individuals who are committed to safety and excellence in their work. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving, storing, pulling, cutting, staging, and loading products. This advanced role requires specific skills such as advanced forklift operation, proficiency in reading tape measures, and the ability to use various cutting tools including hand saws, circular saws, and chainsaws. Safety is paramount in this position, especially when dealing with specialized materials and procedures. You will primarily work outdoors, and it is essential to maintain the quality of the products stored outside, ensuring they remain clean, covered, and dry to meet customer expectations. Your work schedule will be from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime required as business dictates.
