Location BBC Bronson Battle Creek Title EVS Third Shift Supervisor- Battle Creek: Monday-Friday 10p-6:30a Third Shift Supervisor: Monday-Friday 10p-6:30a Maintains overnight leadership and accountability Manages call-ins, safety issues, and early-morning readiness Overlaps with second and first shift for handoff / escalation Rotating on-call weekend leadership responsibilities Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining the hospital (Environmental Services & Linen Services). Assists the Manager of Environmental Services to obtain quality performance, and ensure that set standards are being met. Typically incumbents work in accordance with standard practices; most non-routine problems are referred to higher management. Some supervisors may receive assignments in the form of results expected, due dates, and only general procedures to be followed. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served. Work which produces levels of mental/visual fatigue which are typical of jobs that perform a wide variety of duties with frequent and significant uncontrollable deadlines. Work may include the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT up to 40 percent of the time. The remainder of the time will be spent performing on-site EVS Associate, Linen Associate, or EVS Floor Tech duties. Involves regularly lifting of bulky or moderately heavy weights (i.e., up to 50 pounds), and occasionally assisting with heavier tasks or expending the equivalent effort in pushing, pulling, or otherwise handling material, equipment, and other objects.
