Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Healthcare support services and/or environmental services, hospitality or a related field preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Licenses/Certification: Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for discharge/transfer cleaning.
  • Disinfection of patient care areas, and common areas on assignment.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles using proper chemical use and equipment handling.
  • Following all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
