Under the general supervision of the Environmental Service Supervisor, the aide is responsible for a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks within a hospital setting. These duties include dust mopping, high/low dusting, discharge room cleaning (including beds and fixtures), disinfecting bathrooms and fixtures, replenishing paper supplies and products, and removing both non-infectious and infectious waste. The role also involves vacuuming, wall washing, cleaning identified medical devices and instruments, and performing floor care such as scrubbing, buffing hard surface flooring, and carpet bonnet and extraction cleaning. The EVS Technician 1 is expected to perform all job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
