About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician performs a wide range of duties as applicable to the assigned area(s) procedures and protocol. Qualifications: Minimum of one (1) year related experience preferred. Proficiency in the English language required. Possess ability to follow written and oral instructions required. Self motivated and possess ability to work effectively in a team environment and with a diverse customer and coworker population required. Prior experience answering phones and responding to pages preferred. Possess knowledge of the proper use of commercial equipment and devices preferred. To be eligible for the Driver portion of the position: Current Driver’s License required. Driving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect any major driving offenses (i.e; DUI, convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations, etc.). In addition, personal vehicles used for LH business: State law minimum liability coverage limits required. Promotes excellence through setting high standards and providing high quality outcomes. Ability to act with integrity, kindness, and exhibit empathy. Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently. Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed. Exhibits working knowledge and correct usage of equipment and devices per assigned area(s). Maintains equipment and resources appropriately and safely. Exhibits working knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control as applicable to assigned area(s). Follows confidentiality and safeguards for all patient and/or customer related information. Responds to pages in a timely manner as applicable to assigned area(s). Performs job duties efficiently and per department procedure, protocol and in accordance with State of Montana laws and regulations, for assigned area(s). Stocks assigned carts for appropriate departments in a timely manner as applicable to assigned area(s). The above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification. Specific duties and responsibilities may vary based upon departmental needs. Other duties may be assigned similar to the above consistent with knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job. Not all of the duties may be assigned to a position. Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.
