Position Summary The role of the EVS Tech I reports to the EVS Manager. This position is responsible for the daily cleaning of patient and non-patient areas. This position will have frequent interaction with staff, visitors, and patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hospital setting, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with proper handling and use of EVS chemicals and equipment
  • Ensure EVS supply cart is filled with necessary materials at the beginning and end of shift
  • Utilize EMR software and use approved electronic devices
  • Collecting and properly disposing of trash and waste material
  • Replenish disposable items such as soap, paper towel, and toilet paper
  • Clean and disinfects equipment and furniture
  • Clean up spills
  • Dust high areas
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment as needed
  • Provide positive interactions with patients, visitors, and staff
