About The Position

The Lead Kitchen Steward will support the back of the house by maintaining the cleanliness of the dish room.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or GED preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a kitchen or as a dishwasher is preferred.
  • 1 year previous experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Some computer knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the Executive Steward to oversee daily functions in all restaurant outlets.
  • Assist with staffing needs, scheduling and corrective action as needed.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is functioning properly, reporting issues when needed.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of all cooking equipment, floors and walls.
  • Washing of dishes, glassware, silverware and other operating supplies.
  • Oversee the disposal of trash and garbage.
  • Assure that restaurants are properly supplied with dishes, glasses and silverware.
  • Washing of all heavy pots, pans, and cooking utensils, dusting, sweeping, and mopping various kitchen areas.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
