As a Lead Environmental Services Technician, you not only keep our resort and other assigned spaces immaculate, but you also guide, support, and motivate your team. You perform hands-on cleaning while leading your shift, ensuring that both staff and spaces meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and hospitality.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; six (6) months related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to guests, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to accomplish work tasks by a given deadline.
  • Ability to work with others to accomplish objectives and problem solve to maintain an orderly shift.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Cleans and maintains all assigned areas, including slot machines and chairs, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, corridors, public spaces, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
  • Sweeps, scrubs, mops, waxes, vacuums, and polishes floors to ensure guest-ready surfaces.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, paying close attention to detail.
  • Dusts furniture, fixtures, and equipment; cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, metalwork, and trim.
  • Washes walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, door panels, sills, and woodwork to maintain a pristine environment.
  • Empties and cleans waste containers and ashtrays, transporting trash and recyclables to proper disposal areas.
  • Replenishes supplies in restrooms, kitchens, and work areas to maintain readiness and guest satisfaction.
  • Operates departmental vehicles and equipment-including vacuums, lifts, ladders, and extractors-safely and efficiently.
  • Transports small equipment, tools, and supplies between departments or buildings as needed.
  • Cleans and maintains departmental equipment to ensure it is safe and ready for use.
  • Sets up tables, chairs, and other furnishings for meetings, events, or special functions.
  • Communicates clearly with the next shift regarding status of projects, issues, and ongoing work.
  • Monitors employee breaks and attendance, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Provides new hire and in-service training to team members, coaching for success and fostering development.
  • Performs quality assurance checks on all areas and staff to maintain high standards.
  • Completes maintenance work orders promptly and reports any facility issues.
  • Prepares daily shift reports on activities, projects, and staff concerns for management review.
  • Makes recommendations to management for the purchase of products, supplies, and equipment to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly.
