About The Position

The primary goal of Environmental Services is to provide a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. The Environmental Services (EVS) Operations Coordinator functions as the central point of contact within the department for administrative duties, communication, proper follow-up & follow-through, work order request, and assist with Bed-board Management. The EVS Operations Coordinator is well-organized and able to prioritize tasks based on the needs of EVS Leadership and our customers. Contact must be courteous and professional with every interaction through email, phone call, or through messaging systems. Requirements

  • High School/GED Equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer a minimum of 1 year of experience
  • Prefer 2+ years of customer service.
  • Prefer 1-2 years of sales.
  • Prefer 1-2 years in a similar administrative assistant role experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibility for performing administrative duties, processing requests surrounding scheduling (Payroll, Time & Attendance), scheduling moves & Setups, develop, submitting invoices, and monitoring bed-board management system.
  • Provides on-boarding communication internally & externally using various methods (Phone, Email, Messaging).
  • Schedule, organize, coordinate and support EVS Department meetings and events.
  • Attends and conduct huddles, committees, and departmental group activities that enhance patient outcomes and team member engagement.
  • Provides feedback and/or recommendations focused on patient safety, experience, and other operational opportunities.
  • Monitors, tracks inventory, and places orders for specialty or bulk linen item and ensure patient care areas are fully stocked.
  • Ensures the department is compliant with all local, federal, and state regulatory requirements and reports any deficiencies in real-time.
  • Conducts quality assessments and report/correct any deficiencies as needed.
  • Represents the department during all regulatory visits and audits by ensuring compliance for all polices & procedures.
