POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping department in the hospital including working with Supervisor for interviewing, evaluating, discipline, scheduling, staffing and maintaining cleanliness of patient rooms, common areas, and other areas following specialty procedures and isolation procedures as appropriate. Also responsible for overseeing cleanliness of physician offices. Is responsible for assuring all facilities of the regulatory requirements for housekeeping.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Housekeeping experience in medical clinic or hospital
• Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
• Hospital Housekeeping including isolation protocols
• Able to work in a busy environment and able to multitask
• Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals/disinfectants, etc.
• Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to problem solve.
• Must be able to work independently at running the housekeeping department.
• Must be able to work in a physically demanding job.
• Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
