EVS DEEP CLEANER
About The Position

Requirements
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to move around work area effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to inspect and clean areas of responsibility.
- Must be able to balance, climb and crawl as position is at times required to use ladders, as well as clean ground level areas.
- Will be required to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to transport all supplies to and from work areas.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
- Written communication skills in English may also be required.
- Floor maintenance experience is required.
- Willingness to work with hazardous chemicals, bodily fluids.
- Physical agility and resilience to noise.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior janitorial experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other spaces.
- Moving furniture before and after cleaning.
- Performing tasks like dusting, mopping, stripping, and waxing floors.
- Measuring and correctly using cleaning chemicals.
- Operating chemical dispensing units.
- Properly label chemicals.
- Maintaining and storing equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keeping an inventory of floor areas and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Reporting maintenance issues to supervisors.
- Assisting with hazardous waste collection as requested.
- Meeting with clients to discuss their cleaning needs.
- Assessing the state of the floors and carpets that need to be cleaned.
- Applying stain and pre-cleaning treatments to the carpets and floors.
- Carefully removing furniture to access all areas that need to be cleaned.
- Cleaning carpets and floors using machine and hand-washing techniques.
- Drying carpets using drying machines.
- Resetting the furniture.
