About The Position

Responsible for maintaining a clean, welcoming, and organized public areas while assisting guests and supporting hotel staff. This role helps ensure guests have a positive first impression and comfortable experience when entering or waiting in the hotel.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Must be detailed -oriented in cleaning public areas
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback and guidance
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemical safety
  • Must be able to work various schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality or housekeeping is a plus
  • 6+ months of Housekeeping supervisory experience in a hotel environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean lobby, public areas, restrooms, hallways, stairwells and elevators which includes vacuuming, dusting, polishing, furniture and decor, cleaning/sanitizing surfaces and waste removal.
  • Stock supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well organized at all times.
  • Check all equipment prior to and after use to ensure that it is in good working order
  • Greet and respond to all hotel guests efficiently and in an appropriately friendly manner
  • Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas and public areas.
  • Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors.
  • Polish and clean mirrors, floors and elevator doors.
  • Assist shampooers with the relocation of furniture.
  • Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to the Safety/Security department.
  • Provide instruction/guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations.
  • Support the department in any area that will maintain the building and guest service to hotel standards.
  • Must be ready to step in and support coworkers and team as needed to ensure efficient operation.
  • Perform duties, special assignments and projects as requested by management.
  • Attend meetings/training as required by management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager or Director of Housekeeping.
