The Environmental Services (EVS) Associate maintains a high quality standard of housekeeping by performing cleaning functions in assigned areas, following assigned schedules and specific methods to provide patients, visitors, and staff with a sanitary, orderly, and safe patient care environment. EVS Associates aid in prevention of cross contamination, controlling bacteria, odor, and sustaining acceptable aseptic conditions. They may assist with moves, recycling, delivery of supplies, and the removal of trash and biohazard waste. The role involves interacting with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson, and establishing and maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment by following departmental policies and procedures. This position is crucial for maintaining a professional appearance of the hospital and ensuring safety.
