About The Position

Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus 8111 S Emerson Ave Indianapolis, Indiana 46237 The EVS Associate II performs special floor project work throughout the facility, using different types of floor care equipment. The position includes scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and buffing hard surface floors, and using bonnet buffing and/or extraction techniques for carpet cleaning utilizing various floor care equipment. Special projects include window cleaning, wall washing, ceiling cleaning, and upholstery cleaning. They are responsible for completing all types of trash collection, and coordinating operations, including removing waste, operating compactor or other related equipment, and signing waste manifests. The EVS Associate II is trained in the functions of a EVS Associate I in order to assist with the cleaning of the hospital when required, and performs duties in other departments based on needs of the facility. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Clean and disinfect floors using hospital-specific equipment, including microfiber cloths, wet mops, etc. Clean and sanitize horizontal surfaces, such as over-bed tables, counters, and furniture. Clean and sanitize restroom surfaces, including toilets, urinals, sinks, showers, walls, floors, and mirrors. Clean and sanitizes vertical surfaces, such as walls, ceilings, and windows. Ensure cleanliness of high dust surfaces, such as picture frames, vents, and doorframes. Inspect room for proper cleaning and reports any safety or maintenance issues. Remove trash and linen, clean receptacles, and ensure they are prepared for next use. Restock paper, hand sanitizer and hand soap supplies. Sanitize high touch areas, such as light switches, bed rails, and doorknobs.

Requirements

• 1 year Housekeeping Required
• 1 year Project/Floor Care Preferred

• Dept of Trans Training (DOTTRN) - . DOT training completed through hazardous waste vendor
